How It All Began
At the Bark is a family-run business that has expanded from White's Walkies. It has been built on years of experience working with dogs,
Megan:
"I have over 9 years of hands on experience working with and caring for dogs of all sizes . My journey began with dog walking and this is when I realised this was what i wanted my forever job to be. Running a day-care for dogs is one of my biggest passions. Making sure that its run with love, understanding and somewhere where all dogs can thrive physically and mentally. Also having a day-care that can accept everyone. I want to ensure that At the Bark is not just a secure field for day care, but an environment where your dogs are cared for as if they're my own.

"I have always had a passion for all animals, especially dogs. Eleven years ago my family rescued our dog Dolly when she was 6 months old and transformed her from a nervous pup into a loving and confident, mature family pet. Working with dogs has always been my dream and I am passionate about making each dog a part of #AttheBark family!

Megan and Carrie are both trained in Canine First Aid and are both Level 3 qualified in OFQUAL day care and boarding.

Where is At The Bark?
At the Bark is based in Marlow Common. If you have already visited our secure paddock, you will know just how picturesque our facilities are. Set in beautiful woodland, our day care facilities sit on 5 acres of land. Your dog can enjoy running around in our secure paddock, or unwinding in our heated/air conditioned indoor huts.

We offer a taxi service to those in surrounding areas.
If you live further afield then fear not! Your dog won't miss out on the fun as you can also drop them to us.

What will a typical day look like?
​​
We offer an optional taxi service for your dog, they will be picked up from your home between 7-9am. If you would like to drop your dog off, you can do this between 8-8.30am.

Your dog's day will begin with a warm welcome! We will kick things off by burning off some steam with interactive, supervised play sessions in our secure paddock. Our paddock is fully kitted out with equipment for your dog to explore with their friends, as well as a dedicated sniffy corner for those who love to use their nose. After they have burnt off some energy we will go and explore into the local woods.

After a fun packed morning, it will be time for lunch (should they need it), and a little downtime on our comfy sofas and dog beds inside our huts. Cuddles will always be on offer for those who would like them.

We believe that mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise. After some downtime, we will spend the early afternoon engaging your dog in fun enrichment activities such as find it games, interactive feeders and puzzles. If this isn't your dog's thing, they can head over to our paddock to try out our agility equipment and stretch their legs.

If your dog would like to, they can then spend the rest of the afternoon in the paddock or head out on an adventure walk into the surrounding woodland. If they need a little more downtime, they can relax and unwind with snuggles on the sofa!

We will begin winding down for the day at around 5pm. Those who have booked our taxi service will hop into our secure van with their friends ready to be safely dropped off to enjoy a much needed nap at home!

As well as full day care services and optional taxi service, we also offer half-days too!
Am - drop off between 8 -8.30am with collection between 12.30-1pm.
PM - drop of between 1 -1.30pm and collection between 5.30-6.00pm.
We do offer a AM taxi service for half days too.

If you need to collect your pooch before the designated time slots that's ok.
All you need to do is let us know that morning.

Please note, any meals your dog may need whilst in our care will need to be provided by the owners and labelled.
